Challenging but rewarding career
8 Feb 2022 - Senior Consultant in SingaporeRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
A place where fresh grad, mid-career switchers can come on board, learn the ropes, and still do well. Training, guidance, and good mentors are there to guide and show you the know-how. Coupled with training and sharing across teams, leaders, and consultants. The database has been built over the last 10 years, accumulated with sufficient data for various specializations and needs. Steep learning curve but plenty of leadership opportunities and accelerated career growth for consistent performers. Middle to top management comes with many years of experience under their belt, with strong niches, e.g. Technology team, business development, special projects/government tenders, etc To do well you need to be diligent and work effectively. Rewarding as the effort you put in will translate to positive outcomes such that both the clients and candidates you are working with will be pleased. In turn, you are rewarded.
Cons
Steep learning curve, and alignment of incentives to facilitate cross-team collaboration could be better.

Not a place to stay
13 May 2022 - Senior Recruitment Consultant in SingaporeRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
If headhunting is for you this might work as a training ground. But it might scares you off with their culture.
Cons
Extreme work life imbalance. Compulsory to do work on weekends eg searching, arranging for calls etc. Works worse than doctors in terms of hour. Ill-cultured, highly stressed.

Good place to build foundation, before you utilise it at another organisation.

One of the best training schools for the industry, contributing to the success of other firms, because the work culture here does not really retain people. Sell your body, sell your soul, sell your life, you will do well here if you are committed. No, it's not just about working hard, it's working till you die at your desk kind of hard. Good internal CRM system. People here are generally quite nice, you will make some good friends here because you're pretty much 24/7 with each other.
Cons
Lousy commission scheme, employer CPF are also calculated into your commission threshold. Pushing the government's requirements on the employer to the employees is really ridiculous. Yes, I repeat, YOU NEED TO PAY FOR THE EMPLOYER'S CPF CONTRIBUTION, inclusive of the 3x threshold requirements for the company's commission qualification. To be honest, things are really quite fine besides the fact that you need to commit your ENTIRE life on the job.

Worst company to join, yet portraying all the "good" image on social media.. Disgusting!
13 Apr 2021 - Senior Consultant in SingaporeRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
no pros... please join other companies and don't be sweet talked by the Director and Managers
Cons
- They hire and fire fast, because they just need people to do the dirty work and managers get to reap the rewards and get your commission to hit their targets - don't expect to get any proper mourning during your compassionate leaves.. they have NO compassion at all and force you to work while mourning - managers there are the leftovers from the recruitment industries - go other places cannot make it, then come back to Peoplesearch.. like recycle bin or trash bin, take back the trash especially Senior Management and act like they have empathy, but they can terminate you on the same day and side the managers even though you have done nothing wrong and when these managers have been doing unethical sales - sexual harassment at workplace by the most Senior Managers/Directors is pretty common, yet company allow
