Pros

1... Young people around 2... Get to meet lots of interesting clients 3... One or two nice guys.. one owner is nice, the old ceo-like guy was nice, some people are really mean though

Cons

1... Salaries are terrible 2... Bad at retaining people... By far the best guy they had was minat, genius man and very nice but they worked him way too hard and eventually he left after trying to keep standards high for a few years. The best trainers they have leave after 1 or max 2 years 3... Weekends are tough so hard to have social life 4... Lots of commuting because they have 2 offices 5... No systems to run things smoothly... Everything keeps breaking down. And the more clients they have the worse their service. Minat and Vivek were setting up amazing systems but they both left 6... Office is not clean 7... You won't get promoted easily and if you do, it'll be a promotion in name only

Thanks for the feedback. According to your post - you were with us for 3-4 years. That's a long time to have kept some of these thoughts to yourself. My honest advice is to always talk to your Manager / Director in charge whenever something does not sit right. Call me old fashioned, but it makes no sense to bring things up in a post after you have left - rather it would have been far more beneficial to you (and the company) if you came and spoke to me while you were here. So to anyone reading this who is currently working (or associated with Prep Zone here in Singapore) - anything at all bothering you - please come talk to me. Thanks Nagitha (Director, Prep Zone Academy)

Good people, terrible management

Pros

Many of the colleagues are great people - fresh grads who like fun and are smart. There does tend to be a mercenary streak though (promoted by the incentive structure), and the ones that stay are generally more morally bankrupt than the ones that smell the coffee after less than a year and move on. You can also make pretty good money if you play your cards right.

Cons

Terrible management. Highly immoral, don't respect employees or students one bit. Care only about sales, and not about quality delivery. Would usually prefer making a sale even if it meant messing up someone's future. The overall culture is also quite cutthroat, and the main CEO generally puts people in charge who are manipulative and sometimes sadistic, and care about money above all else. Most people don't stick it out, and the company seems to be over hill, with its deteriorating reputation finally catching up to it.

Pros

There is no Pros at all.

Cons

Very high turnover of trainers. Most employees are fresh graduates, whom are here on a gap year to experience Singapore and Asia. Very few or none of the trainers have teaching experience. No structure or proper training. One of the senior management is a college dropout, whom didn't even complete a basic degree as he thinks that he is too smart for it! Only interested in getting as many students as possible for the courses and consultation offered. May do well if you are only doing sales here.

A bit disappointing to read this review on glassdoor. We have a tight knit group of highly qualified trainers here (most of whom have been with Prep Zone for many years now) who work very hard on behalf of our thousands of students, helping them achieve impressive scores. So as a former trainer with Prep Zone, it's a bit disrespectful to brand your former team members this way. Perhaps you were a little emotional while writing this (on the 1st of January!) so it might be best for us to catch up on things if you're willing. Just drop me a mail or call the office and we can set up a time to chat. Wishing you a happy new year in the meantime. Thanks Nagitha (Director, Prep Zone Academy)
