Pros

Work experiences and co-workers were great. However 3 rounds of layoffs in 2024 which cut more then 50% made the teams redundant and non-functional.

Cons

The company is a disaster, CEO only sugarcoats stuff and products do not appear to be what it seems. Potential clients and employees think twice as this is a sinking ship.

PROFICIO SHIP IS SINKING

Pros

Good colleagues, good team leaders, good mangers, good directors (SG only)

Cons

Been with Proficio for over 5 years just to get axed recently due to company saying that there are redundancy in my role. As a Threat Analyst, we are to oversee alerts generated by SIEM rules, manage client responded/requests as well as any adhoc task required. However, the company does not see the importance of the operation team and continue to axe people. Mind you, Proficio axed people thrice already since start of 2024 with the reason “trying to allow the company to stay afloat”. IF NO OPERATION STAFF, WHO WILL BE THERE TO MANAGE THE ALERTS? Also being part of SG team, except for the good people here, the rest just bad. Promotions for SG team always come last. I was stuck in my position for 2 years+ without any promotions while the other regions e.g. US region, the analysts there can jump 2 positions straight. Its always not fair for SG analysts. CEO keep claiming company is doing well, having positive growth and lots of money in pipeline, but still laying off people (3 times in 2024)? Keep hiring more sales person and bring in more clients but cutting operation side. The management really does not see who is important here and will never realise that operation team is important. Compensation for being axed is not desirable also. Conclusion: do not join Proficio if you are in SG.

Great Culture, but Severe Operational and Management Challenges

Pros

- The company culture is one of the best I've experienced; it's a supportive environment with a team that's genuinely collaborative. - There are ample opportunities for self-improvement, including cross-training between different departments, which helps in gaining diverse skill sets. - The work hours are flexible, allowing for a better work-life balance.

Cons

- The company is constantly short-staffed due to various reasons like hiring freezes and multiple rounds of layoffs (3 rounds from Jan 2024 - Aug 2024). - The most recent layoff saw 50% of the company being let go, including many top performers, which has left the remaining employees overwhelmed and struggling. Layoff conditions were unfair and lacked clarity. - Despite claiming that layoffs were due to redundancies and restructuring, those who remain are facing an unsustainable workload, severely impacting their mental health. - There’s a significant lack of transparency from management. You can be laid off without any prior notice or warning. - Management seems out of touch with reality, insisting that the company is doing well despite clear evidence to the contrary. - There’s a disproportionate focus on sales over operations. The company keeps bringing in more customers, but the operations team is struggling to manage the increased workload. - The quality of services provided has drastically declined. There’s a rush to push out products without proper testing, leading to more issues instead of solutions. Some teams are pressured to focus on quantity over quality, and concerns about the quality are often dismissed by saying that everything is working as intended.
