Exciting and pioneering work with a strong team and vision.
Pros
I am happy working at Qdot Technology. The work is exciting, pioneering, and pushes the boundaries of what’s possible in aviation and thermal management. Progress is rapid, and the output is genuinely impressive. Projects such as building a Hydrogen Fuel Cell and Battery hybrid UAV demonstrate the level of ambition and promise the company has for the future. We regularly have team events away from the office, which helps strengthen relationships. As a small company, everyone has to pull their weight—there’s no room for slackers, and the sense of shared responsibility is motivating. Autonomy is part of the culture, but support is available whenever you ask for it. The hybrid working system is excellent, with plenty of WFH opportunities for those not required on-site. Leadership and management provide a strong, clear vision that the whole team can buy into, creating a genuine feeling of achievable success. The team itself is strong, with a healthy mix of academic backgrounds and vocational expertise, which creates a well-balanced working environment.
Cons
The small team size can make the workload heavy at times. However, management actively works on redistributing and prioritising tasks, which helps a lot. More hires are needed to sustain growth and upcoming projects. The remuneration package could be more competitive compared to larger companies in the sector, but there’s hope that it will improve as the company continues to grow and succeed.
