Pros

>>14th Month >>No bond >>Good experience because it's ISP

Cons

1.) BAD Management. TOTALLY BEYOND HORRIBLE: -The department head is non-technical, even NOC L1 has more knowledge than the head. The head only knows how to pass the job to the employees. As if lacking in field expertise is not enough, the head also lacks civility and professionalism. Prone to hysterical episodes due to working from a BPO. One time the employees were scolded as "patay gutom" over a simple food that was shared in the office. Another thing is that the head takes out the anger to the employees whenever there is an escalation. As if it could not get any worse, one time this head said "wala naman ambag yan" to a recently resigned employee. When the employee heard this, the employee quit and didn't render, which in turn affected the operations since another employee was forced to be solo-duty on a 9-hour shift. -To compensate for the lack the NOC head's technical expertise, a head from another department is helping the NOC head. This helper is experienced and very good in resolving issues, more deserving to be the NOC head. Unfortunately, this head also has issues. Any issues raised to this head will be complicated. This head treats the NOC employees as if they are already as familiar with Radius network, when the oldest NOC employee is just around 1.3 years (which has also resigned). This head lacks consideration to NOC employees. He even questioned my capabilities when he is not around 99% of the time. Poor judge of character. -There was an employee who resigned in Feb, and still couldn't get his clearance on April, totally lacking tactness. -The duty managers are only 2. One technical, another is non-technical. Suprisingly, the non-technical one is the most helpful one. If there's any silver lining in this company, it's this non-technical duty manager who is considerate and get his jobs done. The "technical one" is just a slacker who tends to pass his job to the employees just like the NOC head. -They appointed OICs, which are by the way, not part of the job description so that they can avoid accountability. 2.) Terrible promotion system: -Don't believe their KPI, I was 6 months in, there were no "goals" that they are supposed to guide you as stated on the job orientation. -Promotion is based on seniority and not on ability. There were no tests to gauge the ability to perform. -Promotion is work load, not financial, nor title. This leads to "apprenticeship" where you do the job above and beyond your job description without being properly compensated. DOLE should have this looked as this is just labor abuse. 3.) Depressing workplace: -Working in telco is not a healthy job. But this company took it to the worst level. The account managers (sales department) are ill-mannered, ill-tempered just like the NOC head. They humiliate you infront of the client just to save face. -The office is at a remote place in meralco compound, with a 20 minute walk at best. Working on weekends takes a toll on you since you have to walk back and forth since shuttle service is not available. -Due to inept and toxic management, office rumors are common. This made the entire office form unhealthy communication. Employees ease their frustration by having a common place to rant it to. This is why employees are not comfortable to speak up. 4.) NO TRAINING: -No technical training. Their training incurs penalty and bonds. In my stay as an employee, the only technical training is theoretical without a hands-on lecture. Totally unhelpful. After this training (2-4 hours lecture), they assume you already memorized and learned all of it as if you've been working there for 12 years. This was of course was not taught by a trainer, but the department head who helps our NOC department. -They hired a trainer this year 2023. Guess what? NON-TECHNICAL. First training? EMAIL ETTIQUETE. AS IF THAT'S WHAT WE NEED. The management seems to be in a weird delusion that the escalations are caused by lacking in email ettiquete. Escalations were caused by delayed resolution, not response. A prime example of how bad this company is, they don't know the disposition of their employees. 5.) Low compensation -The compensation is not enough for the work load. -You are forced to overtime if the next shift is yet to arrive. -Most of the time, the overtimes are not approved. 6.) Leaves -They require a medical certificate if you used your sick leave on critical days. -You have to headsup your duty manager 4 hours ahead of time if you are not able to work. -The vacation leave is filed 2 weeks prior to the vacation leave. -They inquire about your reason for the leave as if you have no personal matters to attend to, very unprofessional. -Instead of the Duty Manager, finding for your replacement on your leave, YOU have to do it yourself. 7.) Lack of Manpower -Due to the statements above, a lot has already quit, long before I was hired -Soon, if you are ever hired, you will faced mass resignation, too. No amount of compensation will ever be enough if the manpower is the thing that's not enough.
