Pros

Idea of software is good, selling a platform for employee recognition of other companies

Cons

This is a team of two that has stayed a team of 2 over 6 years. They can't scale because the CEO thinks he is Steve Jobs and believes being a terror is the way to manage people. He wants to be the main guy in everything, and thinks everyone else's work is meaningless. Nobody has worked here more than 6 months. When I left it was still a team of two.

Pros

I don’t know if there is anything nice to say about working here - only that Recognize helps organizations with employee recognition. You would expect a company in this line of business to respect it’s and recognize it’s own employees.

Cons

CEO is controlling and really thinks he is Steve Jobs or Elon Musk with no respect towards employees - he really looks down on people Job description says one thing but be ready to do more than expected - the pay/ salary is low compared to the amount of work you do Small team, other employees are good but the heads are not trustworthy, this should not be a company in this industry. There is no company culture There is no work life balance here - expect to wear one too many hats

Pros

The company offers flexibility and allows employees to take ownership of projects, which can be a great learning experience. The product has potential, and the mission of recognition in the workplace is meaningful.

Cons

A major challenge is the CEO’s leadership style, which fosters a culture of fear and micromanagement rather than trust and collaboration. Feedback is often dismissed, and differing opinions are not welcomed, making it difficult for employees to contribute meaningfully or influence positive change. This creates a stressful environment where people feel undervalued and unheard. Additionally, key dedicated roles—such as sales and marketing leadership—are missing, which impacts the company’s ability to scale effectively.
