Pros

Many great (non-management) employees Remote Opportunities Perks/Activities for in office employees Beautiful Offices Charitable Foundation and Volunteer Opportunities PTO and Paid Holidays Flexibility

Cons

Boys Club - Significant Gender Inequality Women have to work twice as hard to get half as far and do not make as much as their male counter-parts VERY few women in Senior Leadership HR Works for CEO/Company NOT the Employees Most company activities involve lots of alcohol (this could be a pro for some people) So much finger pointing! Many are quick to blame others without taking any ownership or accountability for the breakdown. No one wants to rock the boat for fear they will be a target, so don't expect people to have your back Once you are a target - it is only a matter of time before they find a reason to terminate your employment Not a lot of organic growth - growth is coming from mergers & acquisitions, which means company frequently is changing direction and restructuring. Teams get changed, moved around without any notice to employees. It seems as Management is more concerned with the "new" companies & employees they acquired than they are with loyal employees who have been with the company for many years. Poor communication between departments - not a lot of consistency.

Smoke & Mirrors

Pros

The company has a fun culture and some nice perks

Cons

Most of what you see is smoke and mirrors... they bid on awards without having the appropriate staff or expertise, assuming they'll "figure it out later". Its a boys clubs, with a lot of favoritism towards Sr. Managers and a hand full of salespeople. Vastly different culture and expectations between the offices.

Complete lack of Leadership

Pros

They offer benefits but they were expensive. They have unlimited PTO if you are not so over-extended that you can take time off.

Cons

Taken over by callous private equity then culture just went straight down the drain. Once folks raises/bonuses were withheld, the good Senior talent started leaving. Their Microsoft sales offerings were always messy but without Senior talent, it became a toxic nightmare. Engineer were over-extended and their work trivialized. I've worked with several tech delivery organizations with none of the condescending "two-click" Sales issues at Red River. So much finger-pointing and negativity between many of the teams. They just have the wrong people in leadership roles.

We are sorry to hear that you had a negative perception of your time with Red River. We know that the fast growth we are experiencing, and movement within teams can come with growing pains. We never want this to affect our teams negatively, and are working to cultivate a positive company culture. We are also working hard to promote from within and hire new talent to ensure that teams have the resources they need. We understand that work can be very fast paced and busy, but want our team members to be able to take time off when needed. In regards to your comment about compensation, bonuses and raises were delayed slightly, but were given out later in the year. We understand that communication between teams can be difficult at times. We encourage all team members, managers or not, to come to the HR team if they have any concerns or comments on items like this. If you would like to provide our HR team with any other feedback, we would encourage you to contact us at HR@redriver.com. We would like to discuss further.
