Too Many Micro-Managing Execs

Pros

Great product--the best in the industry. Great passion and heart from Elizabeth Francisco--she is the reason a lot of employees stay. Start up that is still in infancy stages. The company has great potential if it can weather the internal instability and fractured culture.

Cons

Too top heavy--hired many high salary Execs in a short period of time and didn't focus on the employees that helped start the company. The culture has suffered badly. BAND-AIDS don't fix bullet holes. Pay attention to your hard working staff, reward them as needed, invest in their training and promote from within. Very emotion based owners (that like to rule with fear) who travel the world but micro-manage leaders and staff. They don't have a real pulse on what is going on day to day but want to restrict what their high paid Execs do. Also favorites are played openly. Someone who did little in the last year to contribute to anything was paid a severance when let go. Two very different offices in UT and TX. Not unified one bit--almost like working for two different companies. No space in the Plano office--stuffed in like rats on a ship. Communication is toyed with--no real consistency from leaders.

Pros

Complex product with lots to learn, lots of room for improvement, lots of backlog items and enhancements to work on. The people are friendly, especially those that have been there a while. Good compensation for Dallas area and benefits are very good. They are not afraid to hire the top tier of developers but have a hard time keeping them.

Cons

Leadership seems to change course every 3 months after each board meeting. Many objectives have been started and then abandoned. Nearly every SVP from every department has been hired/fired within a year. 40% of the Dallas software staff (mostly experienced developers) have exited, most after less than a year. People at both the worker level and SVP level have been thrown under the bus/fired and then employees are told they resigned. Not enough women in development and leadership roles. HR has been informed of issues with management in IT but has not made necessary changes.
