Pros

Health benefits. Absolutely nothing further!

Cons

* My position is the lowest paid position in the company. * LEADERSHIP - Bad "leadership"(if that's what they call themselves). Does NOT lead by example, whatsoever. Always leave work early. Does not work weekends, but will require their employees to do so. Look out for yourself if you decide to speak up about something - trust me, they will come after you. They have bad attitudes, and you have to kiss their behind if you want your job! * Leadership will poorly train you, and immediately throw you to the wolves. This is a known fact in this workplace. * Leadership does nothing to help the production/workload, but they will pressure you into meeting a daily and monthly goal that increases very often -___- . Leadership has auditors who are NOT familiar with your work process sit with you every month and tell you how to do your job. Again, these auditors do not know what they are auditing, and have admitted to it, but they will still address how you. * NO WORK/LIFE BALANCE. Horrible work schedules. Part time isn't an option at this company.. ask around if you don't believe me! Mandatory overtime for my first 3 years straight except for maybe one or two months. Mandatory overtime ended about a year ago (see below). Kiss this job goodbye if you have children, school or other commitments. * OVERWORKED/UNDERPAID!!! Do not expect a raise or bonuses because they are not given. * HIGH TURNOVER RATE. This company fires their employees like no other! * COMPANY WAS SUED for $706M less than 2 years ago, and is broke. They sole and copied a 3rd party's ideas. (The 3rd party signed a contract to allow this company to use a product for some time. This company decided to breach the contract and fire the 3rd party, after copying their product). * As a result of being sued, the company changed their name, demoted hundreds of workers, fired hundreds more, took our bonuses away, made us work strictly 8 hours (not a second more). BUT here's the catch: we were still forced to meet the impossible production goal that was recently raised, despite not having time to do so. If you got caught working overtime, you would have to take an extended lunch the next day to balance the time, so that they would not have to pay you at your overtime rate for the previous day... illegal right?!? Overtime is now given spontaneously without prior notice, and emails are sent to everyone asking them to look for a babysitter or make arrangements because you HAVE to do it!! It is not optional at that given time.

Pros

Fun location in downtown Detroit. Company provides free coffee, cappuccino & snacks in a cool impressive environment. And to try & make up for the low hourly rate & the crazy cost of health insurance they offer, lunch is usually catered in 1x a week! P.s. They offer 1 health insurance option @ Aerotek Staffing. It's provided thru Aetna. And of course, the cost is outrageous. Need the family plan? Enroll in it and you will be left with approx. $45.00/week in your check.

Cons

New hires are rarely hired in direct as a Title Source employee. 99% of the time you are hired by Aerotek Temporary Staffing, a temp agency in the same building as Title Source. You are then placed at Title Source, usually into a position you have little to 0 experience in, because Title Source's processes & computer programs are so specific to their products. Temporary employees make up at least 75% of the workforce. And even though most of the employees are temps & paid on avg. a low low $11.00-$12.00/ hour, you are never told when you will be eliminated. If orders are low at some point during the workday & your department Team Lead is made aware of it, everyone starts to worry about who will be cut. Employees start gossiping about who they think is out and who they heard was fired the day before. Opinions on who is out, are formed by the amount of orders you did that day, compared to co-workers. Everyone knows how many orders you did because a report is emailed out every morning, to everyone in your department, with everyone's volume of work performed. Absences suddenly do not matter. Dedication suddenly does not matter. The weeks you worked 80 hrs. and didn't get to see your family cause work was slammed, does not matter. Your knowledge of the business & the amount of effort you put in to understand the in's & out's of Titling, does not matter. The average orders you have done per day, compared to the others, MATTERS. It is the sole decision making tool. Recently Title Source over hired, beginning in Dec. 2012, continuing into Feb. 2013, with 100's of new hires coming in each week, apparently following an unplanned rather large increase in orders. But oops, 8 months later, after employees have dedicated themselves to Title Source, sometimes working 70+ hrs./ week or more, taking on more work by voluntarily training in other areas....you get a call from Aerotek stating that due to lack of work, your assignment has ended. Sorry, please mail us your security badge & oh don't worry about your desk items, please don't come in & try to retrieve your personal items. We will ship it to you. Did I mention we cancelled your direct deposit too so you won't be paid this Wednesday as expected. Pick up your check next week at Security please. Don't you dare try and get on that elevator. Your not one of us any longer. Thanks for the memories, have a good life!

Not a lot of appraisers are tech savvy that I met.
