      Good brand name attracts joiners but most are disappointed upon joining, with the politics and challenging & ambiguous environment ....

      Pros

      Based on my experience in Seletar plant in Singapore, good work-life balance. Most employees leave work on-time, though a lot of them have night calls & webex's fairly often.

      Cons

      Over-dependence on UK employees to fill Singapore vacancies & promotion opportunities, gross mis-trust in locals; most authority & control reside in UK. Culture is extremely political, too many meetings & too much talking. Businesses & functions operate in silos, protecting their "turfs" with no consideration for bigger picture. Matrix organisation which is extremely complicated and has undergone 5 major re-structuring in 6 years!

      Cons

      Management does not appreciate staff for the extra effort they put in, and surrounds themselves with yes men. It's either you are in the circle or you are an outsider.

      Pros

      Work life balance is the only saving grace. New campus so at least it is a modern facility as compared to Derby, RRD or Indy.

      Cons

      Nepotism of former GM/Delfi employees/senior management in Purchasing Singapore who form their own club and protect each other so that top managemetnt does not have visibility of what's going on. No job real job prospects, they rotate staff around roles not based of qualification/skills but by whether they have headcount. Keeping desk cleanliness is more important than doing real work. The senior mgt is so free as to do floor inspections to make sure that people are working at their desks.
