Pros

Ability to take on a lot of tasks and not get super pigeonholed in a role (at least while I was there, this seems to be changing) Some of the people were amazing to work with Was able to be in close communication with dev and product to provide real time feedback from customers that was actually actioned

Cons

Severely disorganized No employee guide, handbook, or organized training and no desire to see one established (all efforts were thwarted) Butt-kissing is encouraged No desire to see customers or users engage and flourish (purely a numbers game to have customer sign up but not actually engage in the platform and no real drive to fix this issue) Offers a product for free that encourages zero engagement from the customers to actually use the product (again, just looking to increase baseline numbers to secure funding) Preys on people who are not super familiar with technology and makes it super easy to set them up, but impossible to churn once they realize they don't get proper support post-onboarding Pushing a product that is not fully fleshed out in order to keep up with competitors who are actually making it work Meaningless job titles in order to maintain morale (roles are ill-defined, managed by people with no prior experience and have no guidance, so everyone is just making it up as they go) The work environment is extremely toxic and over-working is encouraged. In the day and age of employee first mentality, their policies are dated and unwelcome to anyone dealing with physical or mental health issues Throwing others under the bus in order to get ahead is encouraged, and coworkers will blatantly lie to your face in order to get what they want

Pros

good snacks before covid happened

Cons

-They claimed to value diversity but in reality they just value cheap labor -They hire you when they don't really need you then fire you out of nowhere -No communication -Pay is not good (especially if you are Hispanic, I was getting paid 10k less than my white coworkers). They say this is because its a startup -They will tell you to take initiative but then say no to your ideas every time -They will tell you to ask questions but they fire you if you ask too many questions -They will fire you if you ask for time off -They will tell you your work is "bad design" even if you are the professional - They told me they would pay me for my sick time that I accumulated but then changed the story and didn't pay me anything. I was also the only one that didn't get this. Previous white co workers did get that compensation -For your own mental health, if you get an offer please re-consider. This job really messed up with my mental health. I thought I was doing a good job then they fired me out of nowhere. They set me up for failure and I know I'm not the only one that went through this. They have done this before and they have done it after they fire me with other people.
