Since the change in CEO (2016) there's been nothing but transition and turmoil at the corporate office. It's difficult for the company to operate effectively with the constant turnover and all the drama at the executive level.

There certainly have been many changes, including changes in staff, which can make for a busy and fast-paced environment. Drama and gossip in the workplace. Corporate out of touch with direct support staff. Unfair pay between specific locations.

Recently, SERV has made some of the most significant salary increases in its history. We have done this across our organization. These higher salaries will help us attract and retain team members who possess the necessary skills and qualities to provide the best care for the consumers we serve.
Learned a lot of clinical things. Learned a lot about how the state works. Learned a lot about medicaid, medicare, other insurances, etc. Learned a lot about referrals and county resources.
Cons
Not enough pay. Mistreated. No serious consequence. You literally can get away with crime.

I feel extremely valued in my work here. Even the highest executives respect and value people on the lowest rank, which wasn't the case in a couple of my previous positions. Benefits are wonderful and always forthcoming, with health, dental, and vision offered to all full-time staff. Wellness programs are also offered and promoted to all employees. Workers are encouraged to enroll in continuing education (tuition reimbursement is offered!), and there seems to be lots of opportunities for upwards mobility. I can see myself staying here for a long time.
Cons
It feels like sometimes there isn't consistency between the sub-companies of SERV. I think that there isn't a good communication system in place between our many locations.
