      Went Downhill Fast

      Pros

      Co-workers, work-from-home policy, genuinely seemed to care during pandemic

      Cons

      Ownership, Nepotism, Sr. Management, Pay and Pay transparency. The company was run by a great leader, but then when it was bought out things changed rapidly. People were put into positions they shouldn't have been and then layoffs occurred, many of which seemed motivated by spite rather than business decisions. Current leadership was completely unethical. The CEO hired her husband to be a consultant for IT and through his policies many IT individuals quit. She also routinely yelled at staff. Promotion was a joke and so was pay.

      Thank you for your review. As you may know, we are transforming how we work, becoming for efficient and effective, and are positioning the right people in the right spots. Scantron has been around for decades, and necessary transitions are sometimes necessary based on the business needs. However, we are excited to be moving forward with thoughtful cultural and business transformations for our employees and the business. In 2023 alone, Scantron has had 19 promotions for deserving individuals in our organization!

      Some of the people are amazing and it was a privilege to be a part of their team.

      Where does one start? Dying technology Way too much loyalty to people based on tenure Product managers who were clueless Stupid purchasing decisions (Global Scholar?)
