Pros

Search Solution Group is a place where people genuinely care about the work and about each other. The culture is driven, but it does not feel cutthroat or transactional. There is a clear expectation to show up, take ownership, and perform, but support is always there when you need it. Leadership plays a huge role in that. Eric Fehr, Dave Holtzman, Jeremy Gnozzo, and Ashley Goldberg lead from the front. They work hard, stay involved, and truly care about the people on the team. That kind of leadership sets the tone for everything else, and it shows in how the organization operates day to day. There is real opportunity here if you are willing to put in the effort. Growth is not handed to you, but it is very attainable and feels earned. The tenure speaks volumes. In an industry where the average tenure is only one to two years, Search Solution Group averages 5.6 years. People stay because they enjoy the work, respect the leadership, and believe in the direction of the company. The company also grew 17 percent last year, and that momentum is something you can feel as part of the team.

Cons

This is not a low-pressure environment. Expectations are high, and the pace can be demanding, especially during periods of growth or change. You are expected to stay engaged and accountable, which may not be the right fit for everyone. If you are looking for a place to coast, this will feel challenging. For people who like being pushed and growing, it is part of what makes the role rewarding.

Pros

None expect earning potential, but you can earn money at any other company too

Cons

Abusive management practices. They purposely seek to hire young people so they can manipulate them easier. You will lkely have a strong gut feeling when you meet management that something is off-listen to this feeling.

Pros

Some of the people are great

Cons

This place is the most toxic place in Charlotte to work. trust the negative reviews. Run, run away. Save your mental health it is so not worth it. there ARE great companies out there that care about you as a human - SSG is not one of them.

Pros

The compensation and benefits were competitive, and the role itself had potential on paper. Some coworkers were good people who were just trying to do their jobs.

Cons

Unfortunately, the overall atmosphere was extremely toxic. There was a lack of trust, poor communication, and constant pressure without support. Leadership created a culture driven by fear rather than collaboration, which led to high turnover and low morale. The CEO’s leadership style set the tone for the entire company. Decisions often felt reactive and ego-driven, feedback was not welcomed, and accountability was one-sided. Employees were frequently blamed for systemic issues, while concerns raised from the ground level were ignored. Work-life balance was not respected, expectations constantly shifted, and burnout was common. Transparency was minimal, and there was little opportunity for growth unless you were part of a very small inner circle.

Pros

Good people are employed there that you can become friends with once you bond over how awful your experience being an employee of SSG is

Cons

-Genuinely toxic and manipulative employment practices -TA Manager & others will sell you on flexible schedules, hybrid work, work/life balance during the recruitment but in reality if you’re not in the office 5x per week from 7am until 530/6pm then you’ll be looked down upon by the founder and the partners. You might start with a hybrid schedule but slowly they will take it away from you or use it against you -Incredibly high turnover (likely highest for any recruitment firm in Charlotte). You will have a hard time finding anyone that has been employed there more than 2 yrs. Those that have are either partners or too far manipulated or scared to leave the company bc of their aggressive employee agreement -CEO listed isn’t their actual CEO because they are embarrassed by their actual CEOs reputation

Pros

You’ll meet some very nice coworkers who got bait & switched just like you did. This place is great at selling fake jobs, it’s what they do for a living!

Cons

Worst job I’ve ever had with extremely high turnover and very low employee morale. You’ll be offered an 8-5, hybrid schedule, and a job description that completely changes the moment you start. All of a sudden there’s all these “unspoken rules” to follow. Even though their core values are ALL about “over communication!” Interesting! The CEO Jeremy Gnozzo says he “hates micromanaging,” and yet that’s what this place thrives on. You’ll be expected to show up at 7:30am, work after hours, work Sundays, and bend over backwards for a company that doesn’t even trust the employees in the roles they’ve been placed in. You’ll waste about 3 hours of your work day over communicating “what you’re doing” for the day rather than getting things done. I wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt despite the negative reviews, but it’s all true. There’s favoritism, and an incredibly toxic work culture with very young naive people less than a year or two out of college thinking this is normal. “Leadership” is a joke, with power hungry catty 29 year olds stuck in high school. They’ll sit in conference rooms and loudly talk poorly about you if you call out any of the hypocrisy. If you push back, you’ll be fired. Not for poor performance, but for not drinking the “corporate kool-aid”. So be prepared to bend to fit their mold. I wouldn’t even work here as a desperate new college grad. Do your mental health, and your career a favor and work anywhere else. What a waste of time. I was quickly becoming a version of myself I did not recognize here. It’ll bring out the worst in you. What a blessing in disguise to have been set free of this train wreck.

Pros

Being able to work so closely and directly support our CEO on our Executive team has helped my grow so much not only professionally but personally. I look back on where I was a year ago, and am amazed by how much can happen in a year! We work hard, but we work hard and win together. There has never been a time where I did not feel supported or celebrated and I give full credit to my amazing team! Our leaders really really care about the success of SSG, that comes with pressure. Sales and recruiting is definitely not for everyone - there are going to be hard days just like every other job. But our leadership is very tenured in this industry which is rare to find! If you are looking for somewhere where you can grow and challenge yourself, especially as a young professional, then this is an amazing place. You will definitely not be alone. Great benefits, lots of great people, fun events, and hybrid options available ( and we can bring dogs in some days!)

Cons

Not necessarily a con, but sales is driven by results at the end of the day and is definitely not cut out for everyone!

Pros

You will learn a lot and develop in many ways at SSG. I’ve been at SSG for 2.5 years and I started as a BDR, which set a good tone for me in terms of learning about the industry, relationship building, and strategic sales. The managers and junior partners put a lot of time into coaching and developing you to be strategic and be the best sales person or recruiter. The employees are all really helpful and care a lot about each other. Many of the people who have been there for many years want to see their team doing well as a unit. Most of the employees are all in a similar age range (26-35) so they are all working to develop themselves together, which is really helpful when it comes to trial and error in sales. The dynamic at Search Solution Group is truly about teamwork. Another really good thing about this company is the marketing team has done really well with creating a strong method for inbound leads, which are passed off to people throughout the company to be able to develop business and generate relationship. They also have a lot of established clients which goes a long way in this industry. SSG also has a lot of tools to generate quality leads for establishing long term relationships. There’s also a lot of opportunity to take initiative in trying something new and being able to manage yourself. Most people at this company are very self efficient and the trust between the managers and the employees is strong therefore, they are not micromanaged. Another perk is, they are on a hybrid schedule, which allows for flexibility throughout the week. If you have a doctors appointment or a haircut, they are flexible to work around your schedule with that as well. Overall, I have learned so much in the last few years and have been able to lean on my coworkers and managers when I needed anything or wanted to try something new. Curiosity and ownership goes a long way at this company. If you’re looking to develop into a strong sales person and then be able to completely manage yourself, this is the place for you. People at the company have opportunities to make a looooot of money as well! Highly recommend SSG to anyone reading!

Cons

This job is good for somebody who is extremely motivated in sales and is willing to put in extra hours as needed. This isn’t necessarily a con but input = output in sales.
