From the start it was an absolute mess. The old marketing leadership lied during the interview process about headcount and resources.
People were quitting every week for a solid 3 months, one of which didn’t even have another job lined up. Then there were two rounds of layoffs.
Budgets were completely decimated and there were zero resources. Goals and KPIs would change at the last minute. Leadership changed several times in two years. The C suite was slowly fired, forced out or changed.
They are owned by private equity and they tried to merge 5 brands. 1 was shuttered after they couldn’t sell it, 1 was sunsetted and 2 were sold
Back to the original owners. I felt like I was on a candid camera show.
Not too mention one of the most toxic product marketing managers in the history of tech who was rewarded time after time.
