Pros

- Suitable if you're looking for a laid back working environment, no pressure given - There's always a place for a non-performer in the team or new team will be created for you and you can be the head of it - Good if you're not a risk taker and prefer to say yes to every decision, continue doing this will advance your career - The decision making process is easy, when your supervisor's supervisor's supervisor's agree, then you and your sub-ordinate must agree. As a sub-ordinate continue doing this will retain your career. But Failure to comply will make you a head of a new dept with no value added. Good trades i think. - IT here is very secure that they are limiting any other app other than microsoft windows and office, if you want to use other app required 3 level up at least (don't worry it will be approved, your 3-level up most probably don't know you and don't know what they are doing anyway) - No passion needed to work here, all you need is a motivation to pay your bills and mortgage - good place for retirement - all you have to do is focus on what you're doing and don't have to care if it's beneficial to others - no high level tech skill required as the tech they are using are mostly microsoft office, knowing the formula of SUM, IF, AVG are sufficient, knowing how to make PIVOT table is GOD - Good place to learn Personal Finance, for the following reason If you're planning to resign make sure you have emergency fund at least 1-month to cover your monthly expenses, because they hold up your last paycheck if you're resigning and will be paid on the next cycle after you're officially resign

Cons

- not suitable if you're seeking for challenging and personal growth, because the culture value is "Yes Sir, will do sir" - not for those who are born in the year after 2k - micro manage not because your supervisor know how to do it but because they don't know and they want to make sure you're confused also so they don't look to bad - irrelevant training provided - Pay attention with salary structured offered to you. Focus on Basc Salary and ignore the benefit. Because your increment (if there is) and your THR is based on Basic salary - Complaining to HR will prompted with standard response of "according to company's policy" which turns out not a win-win situation - Everyone hides behind Procedure and play it safe
