Pros
Good place to learn. Friday meals
Cons
- Poor equipment and working environment, 8G RAM laptop that may crash from time to time. Noise around the office. - Staff opinions are often ignored, even if they expressed them, there's always an excuse overwriting whatever the opinions are. Example, estimation of work is always overwritten. Requirements for projects are always overwritten or unclear, however due time is not changed and constantly checked on, meaning they will expect you to finish despite the changes they made on rules. - Micromanaging is practiced very often. Employees are not valued by their work but the time they spend sitting in the office staring at the screen. You will constantly feel like someone is staring at you, which is extremely uncomfortable. Hard efforts are always dismissed. C-level is very sensitive towards your actions, even when you're able to always deliver and provide 110% effort. Working from home is more tiring than working in the office, being called and checked constantly, can make staff feel like they are not trusted. - Double standards, you will be watched all the time so if you're having calls regarding personal issues that you have informed them about, they will still micromanage you and question you about it. However, you will hear them doing personal calls during working hours and having whatsapp tabs open hidden on their desktop. - Team events are quite forced, they expect you to attend more than asking the reason for not being able to attend. Even though they're after hours, it stills feels like a part of your job to please the c-level. These events should be a perk, however, for many, it feels like working over time. - No transparency, people are leaving all the time. C-level will make up reasons for their departure and it's always business change. However, they underestimate that the team itself excluding c-level is quite united and has a great team culture. People that leave are often unhappy due to stress, unrealistic work expectations or challenging c level to do some changes in regards to the negative team culture. - The company blames leaving staff for bad culture instead of actually realising the problem and addressing it. However, most of these leaving staff were hard working and great - Overpromised rewards or perks. Bonus is to be given almost half than announced. Sometimes for special days, they would mention that you can go home half day. However, their half day is 3:30pm, 2hours before finishing work. The cons above is not a sole experience, but gathered feedback. However, the c-level think that it's people in the company gossiping. Definition of gossiping is spreading rumours, and these are not rumours but genuine opinions and feelings that were shared. This is not only some feedback, but also a warning, a healthy working environment is important for everyone.
