Pros

The salaries are paid above market range because of the high turn-over. People come and go continuously, however management rarely pay sales commissions.

Cons

What is behind this group is totally unclear. Managers are chosen with low capabilities and for being of a very low profile. They do not need to think. The company runs an unclear business model that doesn't justify the growth that it has. With the vendors, management is really unethical because Salespeople are taking a deal from one vendor and then switching to other products. The level of dark influence, that the company is maintaining on employees is extremely high. The corrupted influence on the vendors is terrible because, despite several negative audits, management is still able to keep the products line although very unclear practices. Management tends to hire the relatives' person of vendors in order to get the franchises and to have information. In order to keep this model whoever joins this company last less than six months because they do not want you to understand and if you do stay long hours in the office you are considered a lazy person. Never make any negative comments otherwise, you'll be fired on the spot. When you are thinking of leaving they ask you to sign a non-competition agreement that is totally illegal. The company can't sustain in the long run and is on a negative path.

Pros

1. Good Salary scale at distribution level. 2. Salary comes on time before end of month. 3. You get lot of exposure technically from learning perspective. Thats it about Pros.

Cons

Now lets start with cons. where to start. 1. Management has created such an environment starting from January 2019 that everyone knows that anyday could be their last working day. Its a constant fearful environment. 2. They feel that they own their employees and dont want them to leave when employee wants but they want to be in a power and want to fire them when management wants. Such an egoistic management. 3. Different treatment for different employees, regardless of individual's work ethics. 4. Biased to group of people. 5. Dont sign any Employee Training Request. StarLink is a company who will take money in the name of training (Employee Training Request), even if its a free training/internal training and does not include any cost. 5. They use HR as a tool to harass you even when you are leaving the organization. How they harass, here is the decoded method. 1. When you are leaving, they will ask you where are you going. 2. If you say that you are going to some other company, they will present you a paper at the time of your visa cancellation process which will have a list of few companies (including th company name you tell them) along with a statement that you will not join these list of companies after leaving StarLink. This is a way to trick the outgoing employee mentally. That paper does not hold any value but still they give a try. 3. If you dont tell them the company name, they will refuse to start the visa cancellation process even if your notice period is cancelled. 4. If you tell them that you are going to your Home Country, a very nice trick they will play. They will not give you your full and final amount on your last day. They will tell you that since you are going to your Home Country, show us your Home Country's entry stamp from your passport after you leave UAE and then they will transfer the money. So, basically, they want to make sure that the employee goes to his/her Home Country. 5. While you are on notice period, they will try with n number of ways, where you are going. 6. HR has no say in anything, they are just a puppet of management. Disclaimer: I don't have any personal grudge against StarLink but I have seen the mentality there when I joined and when I left and its a huuuuuuuge difference. This review is completely based on the treatment people has received when leaving.
