Pros

I just want to keep this empty actually. There are no benefits here. The big bright fact that this company only hires intern so they can exploit you as an experienced workers is true. So no actual training here. The only thing you learn is how evil a person can be. Last fact is you will be doing unrelated task in your role. It’s highly possible for a game developer to become a game designer or animator or do marketing here! Ofc, you will not be paid extra for doing that, there is only scolding waiting for you by our “lovely” CEO. Why are we being scolded when its not our job? Well, that's because our CEO fantasize himself that we can do it. If you try to reject the task, you will get a silent treatment even more.

Cons

1. CEO give silent treatment from the beginning 2. CEO rarely involve in the project and will judge your project as a failure. 3. CEO doesn't understand game development but has a big talk as if he is a senior staff game developer. His background education is NEUROLOGY 4. CEO think little of the game development process, Often saying non-sense that something can be done within a few minutes/hours. Because he only think it as pseudocode not actual coding! 5. CEO loves to blame others for his poor management and wrong doing 6. CEO is incompetent when debating related to technical stuff with their developers. 7. CEO thinks 3rd party asset can solve any problem with any case for the project. 8. CEO will not care about the project scale. He might give you a project to replicate as big as what AAA studios have but will give you less time to finish and less pay ofc. What i meant is a project like skyrim size. 9. 95% of the projects here will either got released with no updates or abandoned forever because CEO thinks making new game title will generate more profit 10. If you work more than what you are being paid, CEO think it as a good deal not extra value. 11. Payment is SUPER LATE, payment for the past month comes in the last week of the next month. The reason is bank delay they said. 12. CEO have a VERY BAD reputation of not paying employee after firing them at the last day of the month. In other words, he will use you as unpaid workers for the last time. 13. CEO is very very very short tempered, annoy him a little and you will be gone. Firing is done without a notice CEO is a C-level position so he is at the TOP. Please glassdoor mods, let me release this, i swear this is my 4-5th revision and you guys still think this is not about C-level position, what the... It's a small company with <20 person so yeah the CEO interact with us directly

Pros

Friendly colleagues, minus the upper management

Cons

- Upper management will have unreasonable expectations for interns and junior staff - Boss has no game dev experience but will expect a triple A game with no guidance whatsoever. - You will be expected to handle multiple roles but will not be monetarily compensated for them - Will pressure you to use AI for art due to time and manpower constraints but will not bother to give you a pay raise for working overtime to meet the absurd deadlines - Will let you go without any warning, with no severance pay despite working there for more than a year - Will make games and then abandon them without a second thought due to unclear vision and funding - Late payment, same thing every month. Pray you will be getting paid or they will let you go without payment. - Getting constantly ghosted by the directors if you do ask for your pay. And will only contact you when they require something of you, ignoring the previous messages that you send them - Be weary of any future endeavors, boss tends to start multiple companies on a whim and repeat the same cycle of toxicity
