Pros

Small family feel initially Former CEO (Niels) set a very positive tone to the company Benefits (insurance, 401K, etc) were great, especially for a small company Telecommuting options were terrific Tried to do a lot of community-focused and 'fun-focused' events

Cons

Lack of transparency Lack of direction Bickering between departments Lack of feeling of security at the company. Many times there would people just 'let go' without a sign, whether it was for an unexpected reorg or for the more recent Covid-19 pandemic. However, there were never any signals from upper management. Conversely, employees were hearing all along that things were fine, feeling that things were good, right up until they were released.

Pros

- People. There are some really outstanding individuals working here. Lots of useful knowledge roaming the halls. - Plenty of opportunity for growth and advancement if you are talented, motivated, and resourceful - Work-life balance is exceptional; working from home is generally accepted as long as quality deliverables are met - Line management is very supportive, engaged, and seems very interested in improving the organization - MDM is an exciting industry to be a part of; opportunities to work with well-known customers - Despite the reduction in force in 2017, they are trying to re-load with talented contributors

Cons

- Counterpoint to Pro #1 - talented individuals are leaving the company; retention isn't high on the priority list right now - Not much excitement physically working in Kennesaw - Office space could be improved to re-invigorate staff - Upper management (seemingly) struggling to decide on a path forward; lacking a truly strategic vision for the company - While "working with partners" has been identified as a company strategy, there has been a poor roll-out of what the strategy actually is and what it means for those implementing the software
