Pros

My team was great, loved working full time from home, and the flexibility was fantastic.

Cons

Communication from upper management was terrible. The CEO needs to learn to step back and not micro-manage everything. The worst was after we put on a large (and very expensive) in person conference for the employees to say how well we are doing, 10% of the company was laid off one month later. I was one of the people laid off the day after returning from a major surgery. The day after that, my short term disability was denied due to a policy Stylitics wrote, even though they told me it was going to be approved. It all seemed very intentional, the money management is clearly awful, and everything seemed secretive and shady.

Pros

You can work a remote or hybrid schedule as of now.

Cons

This place is absolutely a sinking ship, and the only reason people are still there is because with the job market the way it is, lifeboats are few and far between. I feel like the people that are still here are the violinists playing their hearts out on the Titanic as it went down. Everyone is incredibly underpaid and overworked. I used to think it was only stylists who were treated this way, but it’s not. We are scheduled down to the minute with tasks, but no, that doesn’t include time for meetings, or trainings, or even answering emails and Slack messages. Need to send a work email? You better do that off the clock. Scheduling asked you to train a coworker in a new process? Let’s lunch and learn because we aren’t accounting for that in your day and we aren’t approving you for overtime either. There is nowhere to grow here. Even the shiny, lauded favorites* at the top are leaving as soon as they find another offer because they are stuck with nothing more to learn and no way to advance their careers. Leadership gives you good reviews and are big on telling you they value your work, only to never make good on a promotion. It’s a carrot dangling right in front of your eyes while you just keep plowing forward like a donkey. *I don’t really need to get into the favoritism here because it’s in every review on this site. Just know that all of it is absolutely true. But tbh, it hardly matters anymore because even the favorites are leaving in droves. No one wants to be here. The layoffs were awful and plentiful too. They promised after the first round that they were done and we were all safe for years to come, but before the year was out they did another round that was larger than the first. They chose to start doing offshore hiring where they can pay people 11k per year to do a full-time job. But then again, they don’t even treat those cheap employees with decency, and in fact, schedule them for even more hours of work than the US-based employees because if there is a legal loophole, you can bet they are going to exploit it. The culture is truly terrible. There is no camaraderie anymore. They’ve even started giving out an award every month for someone being “funny” or “clever” on Slack because they’re desperate for people to even interact with each other. Upper management is now only concerned with the use and development of AI, which while cool in theory, is making the end product crappy. Customers that have been with us for years are noticing the sharp decline in quality and leaving. The company over promises and under delivers on just about everything which doesn’t inspire confidence in its clients or its workers. Badly done, guys.

Pros

the ability to work fully remote

Cons

Every negative review accurately reflects the experience here, and it’s telling that the positive ones lack credibility. Upper management shows little regard for work-life balance, leaving employees overwhelmed by a workload that feels unsustainable and increasingly forces overtime. The constant pressure, akin to being in a state of fight-or-flight, has taken a toll on everyone’s mental health. This role no longer aligns with the expectations of a styling job; instead, it revolves around fine-tuning AI tools by reviewing thousands of poorly generated outfits daily, with minimal training for improvement. Unrealistic productivity goals force rushed, subpar results just to mark goals completed. The styling team has been drastically reduced, leaving remaining employees to bear the brunt without recognition and your efforts will not be valued beyond a brief Slack message like "great work." There are no true opportunities for career advancement, and salary increases fall far short of expectations, making it impossible to feel motivated or financially stable. This job is no longer sustainable, especially for those who entered expecting a career in fashion. It is nearly impossible to get hired anywhere else when your experience here is not relative or relevant to any REAL job professions in the fashion/retail industry.
