The company has not taken off like it should have. Competition, bad management decisions, and executive churn all contribute. Generally speaking, it’s not an environment that supports and values employees. The physical work space, usually just a table in a bullpen, is a great example. People figure this out pretty quickly, and the ones with options seem to move on. Employee turnover is high, and the upper managers that haven’t figured out the value in retaining good people are killing the company. Many of us share info with each other. Some departments do a pretty good job of backing their people (Support, Dev), some are the opposite (G&A, Sales). The negative impact the CFO had on the people under him has been astonishing to those of us watching, though somehow he continues with impunity.

Managers are very passive aggressive. They can smile and act friendly in front of you but talk badly behind your back. I witnessed myself this manager using unnecessary words to describe people in different department. I wouldn't be surprised if he did the same thing to his own department. Lots of bad vibes all around. People are not open and are always cautious with each other. Definitely not the environment you want to work in. In addition, the organization structure is very messy due to high turn overs. There's always new managers, new employees and it seems that this is the norm for this company. Its hard to find someone who has a good understanding of the business. And if you do, that person is very egoistic and will tune you out if you are not liked.
