Worst company I've ever worked for

Pros

Flexible schedule gave me time to interview elsewhere.

Cons

Thomas Ewe is a horrible CEO. I've heard him scream and curse at employees on numerous occasions. He had no respect for others. He has an unwarranted arrogance about him. He believes he is always right and not the customer. They have a major branding problem because they are too cheap to hire a real marketer. Google Synactive and you'll get Guixt.com that has a headline of liquidUI. They have no clue how to run a business.

As the leader of any company, it is my responsibility to decide whom to reward, whom to encourage, and in times of economic uncertainty, whom to reduce hours and furlough, as was the case with this gentleman. In this particular case, we reduced his hours, when we should have terminated the position. That brought about his unusual obsession with Synactive, posting here under fictitious positions every few months, after a year. Synactive has the most sophisticated mobile offering for SAP ERP, bar none. To produce such an innovative product, the support and the documentation to go with it, we need the best folks, and we have them. My advice to you, whatever happened in your life, good or bad, you deserved it. You can always blame someone else for your problems, but the fact that you hate my guts, is not my problem.

Non productive work environment

Pros

Free shuttle to caltrain station.

Cons

The environment does not help employees to develop their own soft skills. CEO gives directions to directors and they pass on those to employees on how to perform a particular task or achieve some objective. Employees do not express their ideas and take part in constructive discussions. Compensation is low as compared to the competitive silicon valley.

Not a great place to work

Pros

Free water, coffee, tea, and parking, Ok work-life balance except for engineers and sometimes sales. Good views from conference room and offices.

Cons

Poor management from CEO, he doesn't respect employees and yells curses at them often. Very low pay and company is always going through pay cuts and furloughs. Employees ordered to work outside business hours. Everything run as cheap as possible. Network is slow and often crashes. Computers are really old IBM Thinkpads.

Drivel from a narrow, self-serving perspective, and devoid of insight, much of these has been responded. In a restructure, it is impossible to treat everyone in exactly the same manner, nor would that be right. Those with bruised egos found this site to retaliate by spewing mendacities anonymously. Here is a test, if there is any truth, please, I invite you to file with our HR and claim back pay. As a company, we have one overarching goal, that of providing robust, innovative business software of significant value to our customers. We may not always do everything right, but we will never compromise on this objective.
