Pros

Stability, a lot of senior people who have been there for decades, and probably till retirement

Cons

- a lot of senior people around, not necessarily with best and most up to date practice - never worked in a company that has so much hierarchy and every decision/tasks is made into a little more of a hassle than needed to be -received no actual training or skill improvement -strong sense of hierarchy, if you're below a certain level, don't expect to be heard -varying styles of management, your supervisor could skip out on everything but highups are into micromanagement(on something they are not exactly experts on)

Pros

-strong supply of capital & cash flow, employees don't need to worry about delay payroll -suitable for someone who looks for a stable environment -convenient office location at city centre -basic fringe benefits, e.g. medical (only inpatient for spouse), education & well-being subsidies (subjected to positions & grades) -opportunities travelling to South East Asian countries as there are factories located in Thailand, Malaysia & Vietnam

Cons

-tried to create an image of pioneering & innovative yet company culture is in fact quite old-fashioned, & traditional manufacturer-like, focus mainly on productivity & efficiency; the real culture is rather "making no mistakes" & "no risk-taking" -slow decision-making process, other than senior management, the rests are not empowered -not attractive to someone with career aspiration and seek for growth
