Pros

1. You can learn lots of technical knowledge when handling project. Even you are facing difficulty to understand the technical matters, you can always refer to senior staffs. Majority of the seniors can teach us and share their experience. 2. Benefits is far better than other company since I joined this company. No cut salary even though during covid-19 pandemic. 3. Non management staffs are allowed to claim OT if required to complete the urgent work. 4. Staff can claim on mileage of travelling for working purpose.

Cons

1. Up to now, most of the seniors staff leaving, left out majority of management staff and superjunior staff. Management staff not going to help and nobody to guide new blood. 2. Management rather hire new staff with high pay, yet not willing to adjust salary/ to persuade the senior engineer to stay. Management always think that "everyone can be replaced". 3. Management staffs are currently staying in the comfort zone, not going to take any responsibility on their decision. At the end, only 2 or 3 top management staffs can do the decision, well, the rest always push the decision to their boss. 4. There are 2 types of staff in this company: i) management and ii) non-management, the fact is, there are plenty of manager level staff in the company yet there are lesser and lesser staff working. There are around 25 managers, but only around 50 project staffs. In other words, 1 manager take care of 2 project staffs. 5. This company doesn't recognize additional qualifications. 6. The direction of the company is unclear. The management team is unable to plan the work and work the plan in their strategy to achieve business goal. Perhaps, this company do not have any business goal, so they cannot achieve. 7. Politics between higher managements always happened, but mostly impact the project staffs. 8. Although there are plenty departments in the organization, yet, project staffs have to take care lots of scope such as technical, site supervision, project documentation, costing control, quotation/PO/invoice preparation, and etc. Apart from that, 1 PIC are being assigned to take care few systems, causing the work-life super imbalance. 9. There are lots of cons, yet I'm not going to highlight all. What I can say to you is (if you are still reading), please, you deserve better, no need to suffer in this company. If you do not believe, welcome to find out yourself. Well, I'm leaving soon and I won't come back to this company.

Pros

Slightly higher salary than what fresh grads are offered Opportunity to learn a lot of things on site Gain vast on site experience Can claim for most expenses

Cons

I was handpicked by TTE’s HR through their resume search on Jobstreet to consider to start off as a “Project Executive”. Was not enthusiastic about the job offer as I was aiming for other jobs, but decided to give it a shot since I was fresh out of degree school and job-hunting. My interviewers were kind enough and both of them to this day are still friends with me and occasionally keep in touch. The salary offered was slightly higher than what 90% of the local companies in the country would offer to fresh grads. However, they mentioned nothing about having to work on weekends and having to over-time to wee hours of the night on weekdays. (And weekends too when close to handover date) It seemed like a great opportunity for me to learn and gain experience from many fields apart from my discipline), and little did I know about the horror I was about to face during my time there. Each team (grouped under respective services) was assigned a Supervisor and I will not go into detail how he utterly dehumanized and insulted my self-worth, sabotaged my other colleagues and ensured every discussion/criticism/sentence of his directed towards you to be extremely personal and unprofessional. Often, the said supervisor would force you to hand in an assigned task and later on claim it as his own, bragging in front of the PM for credit which is not his. He would manipulate and pretend to be on your side, while badmouthing you to the bosses and sabotaging your probation. I would go into more detail what BS this person has done, but it would take days. Just that, I hope my words serve as a warning to whoever meets the person described above. I complained (as well as other colleagues) numerous times about said supervisor to my manager, my hiring manager, but sad to say they could not even help me although they sympathised with the unfair card I was dealt with. Being even 5 minutes late would get you into trouble with every supervisor/boss in the project even though you live far away and have to drive during the rush hour. Even if you worked more than 14 hours for the day and left the office late, they give you warning about being slightly later than 8.00 a.m. the next day although you’re tired like a DOG. Their reasoning is that “if I can be early, why can’t you?” My health steadily declined during my work here, my home life suffered because I was shamed/told I was lazy/told I didn’t fit the company’s culture or “didn’t commit enough to my job”/ other humiliations you can possibly think of even though I had worked from 8am to at least 10pm each day to finish the never ending work my supervisor REFUSED to do. Finally, I would like to add that the salary is “high” as what most people think/ (I used to think), but please think twice about where that money really comes from (Your time with family, your health). If you don’t mind getting sick and dying young, do not regard your time with family/loved ones as important, and money is your number one priority, I’d say this is the job made for you. Not to forget if you can handle extremely high pressure/stress, can sacrifice ALL of your time and do not mind being treated like sub-human trash, I’d say Godspeed and enjoy your stay with the company that has to add an “Engineering” to their name.
