Pros

Nowadays, just a job, and that's a pretty bad state of affairs. I used to love working here. Things have changed for the worse by a long way.

Cons

Where do I start. Poor management. They slashed our pay scale 6 months ago. It used to e competitive, now you have to sell $240,000 per year to make $400 per week. An average salesman will sell about $250-300k. I'm in the top 5% selling over 500k per year and I took a 20k hit to my paycheck over last year. Disgraceful! Employees and customers are just numbers now, never used to be like this. It's now all about money and NOTHING ELSE! Also if I sell a job and the technician messes up, everyone still gets paid, except the salesman who gets it taken out of his pay. So the only guy who did his job well, is the only one who doesn't get paid. There is also no work/life balance. You're expected to work all hours 6 days per week. They count sat as a non work day, but trust me, you'll be working. Our new hires are lied to about what they'll make. Every osp in my office is actively looking for a different job. Don't take a job here!!!

Pros

Take home company truck... thats literally about it.

Cons

Everything else. This is the worst place i have ever worked in my life. The payscale is rediculous, no one even understands what or how they get paid. Management is the worst. The whole company is more worried about monitoring you, and trying to catch you doing something wrong then helping the techs or teaching them anything. Scheduling is a joke. By far the worst company to work for, its kinda hilarious they still exist. Cant wait to leave here...

Pros

Good pay 6 out of 12 months. Company car. Some pre set appointments. Big brand name. Good guarantee on most services. Driving and doing inspections all day beats sitting in one spot all day for sure. But if you want to enjoy working here, do not try and understand how you get paid or any new spiffs and just go sell.

Cons

Read the reviews here. Has anyone from terminix ever responded to them? For over 2 years they continue to make it harder to make money. They try and spin new little commission ideas as good but it's clear when you do the math, you're making less money. Most sales people don't last a full year. It's because it is almost impossible to make more than $10,000 a year in commission. Unless, you want to work 10-14 hr days 6 days a week and have anxiety attacks one a month for blitz. After a couple years you might be able to work less and make more but it takes time to get to that point. It seems like all the decisions about pay and work life are made by people who have never done the job. There is no way to voice your concern and get anywhere with it.
