Pros

There seems to be little to no long-term planning, and employees are replaced on a regular basis. This constant change makes it hard to build relationships or a sense of team spirit, leading to an overall feeling of instability.

Cons

Opportunities for Negotiation: While salaries can vary, there are opportunities for employees to negotiate compensation based on their individual skills and experience. Dynamic Work Environment: The frequent changes in personnel and decisions can provide a fast-paced environment that may appeal to those who thrive in adaptable, ever-evolving settings.

Pros

They pay on time. It's an ok job while you look for something better. Your next job will seem better in comparison.

Cons

Dreadful 'school'. I've worked at some terrible schools. This one is the worst. The people running the school from London never travel to Birmingham or have a clue what is going on. The management do not give you support with disruptive students. If you have a rude student, the management won't help you. The school has a A2 level minimum policy. However they'll pay no regard to this. Beginner students will be placed in the a2 morning class. The afternoon class will be a mixture of a1, a2, b1, b1+. Sounds like I'm lying? I wish I was. It's unfair on the teacher and the poor students who have spent a fortune on their studies. You have to share your class with another teacher. They call it 'team teaching'. What it means in reality is that you have to double the time spent planning. Afternoon classes have no materials. You're expected to plan everything from scratch. The school will expect you to do out of class admin for free. The class material is rubbish, out of date and not selected with the consultation of the poor teachers asked to use it. Any failures by the school will be blamed on Covid. The turnover for the Birmingham school is huge. The school is a de facto Kuwaiti high school. The students are forced to attend and show no desire to learn. I could go on. If you have a Celta, you deserve better. As of writing (August 2023), they are desperate for staff as everyone has left. When one after another educated person leaves, something is rotten
