Cons
Since I replaced a clerical officer who has retired, there were only 2 clerical officers including me. However, I was hired late in the year where the other was on holiday in which I had to do twice the work. I had an outburst, apologised for it, sought clarification whether this was the standard amount of work. (Mind you, I was in my 2nd week of work) I was told that the amount was normal and that the 2 staff are in their 60s. If they can do it, why can't I? Without even considering that they have been in this line for 20+ years whereas it was only my 2nd week. I asked whether I could observe a senior doing that amount of work so I know where I could improve on but I was told to find my own way of doing my work which I find really inefficient. Was told that they won't micromanage and yet they went back on their words. Was told to approach them when I need help but was always returned with a look of annoyance. In most of my career, I have done administrative job but this time, I wanted to try something new by being like an operator for my mental health but this is my first and last. The qualification needed to apply for this job is 'N' level but I still applied despite having a diploma as the benefits are great and it's a reputable company but at the expense of my self-respect as they treat people under them like slaves who should behave like robots who never make mistakes. Spoke to me very condescendingly as if they were paying my salary. If I wasn't placed under these specific superiors, I probably would have stayed there for a long time but sadly, no. I even had colleagues who told me to make prayers. That's how bad it is. So if you can accept getting scolded for every single small thing, feel free to accept this position.
Pros
Good working environment Flexible working hours Good benefits
Cons
Can't think of any at the moment. All is good for now.
Pros
Employee benefits are good. In normal times, there are many corporate events that help staff engagement. Very stable business with total lack of competition, aside from guaranteed work/life balance for staff. Colleagues are all very friendly. Lots of great food within walking distance from office.
Cons
Not a place to seek career advancement at all, due to slow pace and office politics, plus high adversity to change and process improvement. Those who were pushing for improvement have often found themselves frustrated, and many have left for better prospects elsewhere.
Pros
Good collegues and good cbd area
Cons
Bad management, no growth,no promotion
Pros
Family culture company with nice benefits.
Cons
It's a small coy and subsidiary of LTA
