Great Place to Work with Ample Opportunity

Pros

- People: smart, hard working, actually care about you and your growth, diverse perspectives ... I can't say enough. I don't think I'll find a better group again in my career. - Opportunity: There was always room for my own learning at Tribe. The breadth of the projects I got to be involved in wasn't something I would have gotten anywhere else and the exposure set me up well for future employment. - Work Culture: If there is anything Tribe has done well it's this. Managers are supportive and treat you like a person with interests, aspirations, and commitments beyond the hours you are in the office. People are generally rowing in the same direction and supportive of one another.

Cons

- Space: The business is tied to a few key social media companies. Changes in the landscape are constant and can have a dramatic impact on company direction.

Pros

This is a good organization and anyone would be lucky to join the people at Tribe Dynamics. It starts with the founders: Jon and Conor. When I started, it became super obvious that this company was run by guys who are not only super skilled, but they are also humans of high moral fibre. Great founders attract and build great teams. That is what happened here and I was fortunate to see this process unfold and be a part of it myself. My former coworkers are lovely humans and I miss working with them every day. Whether you are a prospective employee or client, you will be in good hands with these folks I’d like to highlight how Tribe is a relatively small company, yet its culture is high-dimensional enough to make pretty much everyone happy. The company schedules a number of rituals that encourage people to get to know each other in a non-work setting. This does wonders for internal cohesion and specifically makes it very easy when you’re just starting and it’s a new job and you’re nervous etc. And this is not merely a perk. It trickles up into a competitive advantage: when teams work as closely as we did, you communicate better, there’s less lost in telephone, and we end up delivering more value to clients

Cons

Some of these aforementioned rituals might not be for you and there’s a fog over which are optional. That being said, many get near-universal participation, are objectively awesome, and will probably be permanent, e.g. Tribe lunch. I’m not up to date on the current ritual calendar, but new rituals might come up all the time, and one might pop up that you don’t like. This is a super luxury problem to have as an employee, but you’ll have to either get out of your comfort zone or otherwise rock the boat to stand up for your right to just GSD Aside from that, the only cons in my brain stem from the nature of being a business rather than something specific to Tribe. For example, I do think Tribe would win as a firm to having less meetings. But that’s true about almost every company and in my experience I bet Tribe is way better than average at being efficient with time
