        Pros

        - good structure and processes for executing business initiatives although bureaucratic at times - mostly good colleagues and opportunity to connect with worldwide counterparts and experience different cultures - so-so work life balance, level of OT depends on team and seasonal work

        Cons

        - tight head office control on regional headcount, datelines and project implementation - frequent restructuring during market downturns, job scope keeps increasing and headcount always decreasing. Used to have employees who can stay 30 years but increasingly rare with new company culture - transactional attitude towards employees, sudden people movements/job scope changes always unannounced until last minute leading to uncertainty and confusion

If employers are shopping cheap, should we just apply for roles that we're less qualified for?

I had an interview late August, sent a thank you the same day, followed up when they said they would get back to me, and then again a week later and I got no response. I gave up and they just sent me an email saying the position was on hold and they hoped to have an update at the end of the week. I'd still like to see what they might offer me so what could I say in response?
