As a start-up, COVID impacted us significantly in our last two years of operation. Unfortunately, that did impact payroll for a few months in the beginning. Our error was in not better explaining this in the interview process as we were intending to hire individuals with an entrepreneurial spirit committed to helping us through the start-up challenges. This was especially challenging in the first year of COVID. We ultimately had to close and have re-opened with a fresh perspective, having learned from the challenges of COVID and stronger than ever. All of our team were properly compensated when we resumed our operations. We look forward to engaging new team members eager to be a part of something, to build something, and be part of a dynamic and supportive team.

We are very sorry that this person’s experience with USL Technology was such a challenging experience. As a startup company at this time, we were very reliant on our 3rd party partners to provide us with the funding that we had all agreed upon. That funding is used directly to cover company expenses, principally employee salaries and benefits. Once we became aware that the 3rd party was not able to provide the agreed upon funding, we immediately let our employees know what the situation was and kept them informed of all the efforts to secure this and additional funding that was available. Unfortunately, securing additional financing is a lengthy and detailed process that can take some time. All employees and vendors were paid in full, and the management team, obviously, did not draw a salary until all employees and vendors were paid. It was a very difficult situation for all of us involved. But we worked diligently to ensure everyone was paid entirely. After several years of establishing relations and additional funding, we are in a much better position as a company to ensure we can meet all of our employees and vendor obligations.
