Rushed Onboarding with No Real Projects: Onboarding is rushed, but there will not be any real time projects. Layoffs are blamed on performance rather than acknowledging fact that they can’t get new projects. No Flexibility & Overcommitment: Managers consistently overcommit to clients, leading to excessive pressure on employees with little to no flexibility. Work-life balance is severely impacted. Unjust Layoffs & Job Insecurity: Frequent layoffs are often disguised as performance issues, creating a stressful and unstable work environment. Severe Pay Inequity: Especially in India, employees are underpaid for the extensive hours and sacrifices demanded. The compensation doesn’t match the workload. Poor Work-Life Balance: Work hours are skewed to favor U.S. leadership, often stretching until 10:30 PM in India. This disregard for employee well-being negatively impacts personal life and health. Toxic Leadership Culture:Managers frequently skip meetings and expect others to compensate. Despite claims of avoiding micromanagement, employees are closely monitored. Leadership mood swings add to the mental strain. Lack of Recognition & Trust:Hard work and sacrifices are often overlooked, with only recent performance valued. Employees feel disposable, fostering a culture of fear and distrust. Deceptive Promises & Forced Positive Reviews:Although marketed as a place for career growth, the reality is focused on extracting maximum output with minimal return. HR pressures existing employees into leaving positive reviews to maintain a polished public image.

- Absolutely no work-life balance. Depending on your time zone, it's not uncommon to start work at 5 or 6am, and/or work until 10 or 11pm at night. - Ridiculously underpaying. Pays half the market rate, how do you expect to keep employees in a competitive SF Bay Area at such low salaries? It's clear that this place is a factory, designed to attract, burn out, and replace low-level designers. - Terrible managers. You'll be micromanaged and second guessed on every design decision and expected to do a ton of imaginary work to fit into their rigid design process. Yes, the process is good, but the irony of having such as rigid design process in UX where if you go against it you're reprimanded severely, seems antithesis to the philosophy of UX that encourages creative problem solving.. - Their 6 month "apprenticeship" process where you're a contract employee, at first you think "oh I'm given the responsibility of a full-time employee!" No, that just means you're getting paid a THIRD or QUARTER of market rate and expected to do the same work. - Terrible or no benefits. 10 days PTO a year, no 401(k), stock, bonus, etc. - Bad hardware. Bulky outdated Macbook Pro that was slow and clunky.
