    Pros

Team based environment to achieve store's goals for the day, week, or even month Close, tight-knit group of staffs who have work for a significant amount of time Ample break time Freedom/potential to learn a lot more and pursue promotions, if you are determined (bring it up to your managers)

    Cons

Standard retail hours to be expected (9 hours work + 1.5 hrs break time) Some biasness shown by store management staffs

I worked at Uniqlo part-time for less than a year

    Pros

    - 30% discount and I can share the discount with my friends and families. - Can be quite flexible for CERTAIN stores only

    Cons

    - Bad experience working for the first-time as everyone was not friendly and felt like an outsider - Basically learnt everything by myself during the first few days - Some stores require you to work long shift hour although you're a part-timer - The training was not really helpful as I have to watch videos and did cashiering for less than 1 hour and it was too much to absord.

  8. "Working environment is fun"

    3.0
    Current Employee - Retail Associate

I have been working at Uniqlo part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Friendly and helpful colleagues and on-the-job training is provided. Always will have things to do. Can learn a lot of things here so it is recommended for people who are keen to take on a career in retail. Employee discount. You will get the full duration of your break time even if you go for a late break.

    Cons

Micromanagement and have to do routine work. It's really tiring if you work full-shift and always need to OT during peak periods or weekends till 11:30pm or beyond if work closing shift. Part-timers must work on public holidays and there is no extra pay. I feel the pay does not justify the amount of work done and the hours contributed. Every few months the store manager will change and some of them would not allow me to work lesser hours due to school so it's really draining.
