Pros

Lot of Mental Torture for free You will be looking for a job just months after joining this Company.

Cons

No product strategy for the company. Just some incomplete pieces of software . No vision for the CEO or CTO Constant shifting of focus from month to month has made the company lose its relevance. Arrogant , Abusive and Unprofessional CEO. CTO's whimsical and foolish ideas have caused untold mental torture to Engineers. CTO acts like a dictator. All the capable people have left the company Lot of the followers of CEO are ready to ruin the careers of good employees who join here by playing filthy politics Humongous amount of Stinking Politics and Backstabbing done by the Management and a few of their followers Founders spread lot of lies regarding product.

Pros

You can work here if you are friends/family of CEO and ready to tolerate a abusive CEO.

Cons

-No work culture here. Just a sweatshop. It comes top down. Senior “managers” are not leaders. They are like minded self serving drones who blindly follow the orders of the hopeless CEO. Follow his rules or find another job. -Turnover is abnormally high for a startup. Founders follow use and throw culture. Absolutely zero emotional intelligence. -Verbal abuse by CEO is very common and he thinks abusing is acceptable and defends his behavior. Poor soul. -CEO abuses India team to US team to make them feel important and happy and when he travels to India, he does vice versa. He thinks he is smart which he is not. -Founders ask one employee to spy on another and create a company full of back stabbers. CEO doesn’t trust anyone mainly because he is incompetent and incapable of assessing engineers. -Management does not have a proven track record in building a successful company. -VC money is easy nowadays and they got lucky with that. -CEO is incapable of using the laptop and give a technical demo of their own product. Living off of other people’s work. -CEO makes sure you work for long hours and in weekend and slog for the money he pays you. He does not really care about whether you deliver something or just stare at computer. -Dreaming of CEO title is one thing but being capable of such role is different story. It takes lot of leadership skills, compassion, vision, atleast some decency to be a CEO. -Don’t believe in positive reviews, CEO has asked some innocent junior engineers to write and they have written fearing him. -CEO hired some smart people, treated them like slaves and drove them away and made this place a joke. -CEO and his relative are hurting the company and they should leave for good.

Pros

1. If you are in Networking or related technologies, Versa is riding the SDN/NFV wave and is the in thing to be in. 2. Given that Versa is funded by tier 1 venture capitalists, people outside the company including prospects still give them the benefit of doubt 3. You can get away doing nothing in the company. The founders are scared of firing people as they may go out and tell the truth about the company to the outside world. 4. Versa may get acquired by Juniper Networks some day (that's what the founders tell you when you quit). There is 50% probability of that happening. If that happens, you may make so money (peanuts thrown by the founders at you).

Cons

1. Founders believe that they can do anything. You will get to work starting from the layer 2 till the layer 7 of the OSI stack. Just ask the founders, if they have, they will tell you that that they have from a switch to malware engine to something you couldn't fathom as well. 2. Absolutely zero focus on one thing. They want to build everything and anything. They truly believe that they are networking geniuses and if some one else has built it, they can too. 3. The famous saying that goes on with in the company is that the younger brother dreams about it on a particular day and the older one takes a stick to beat up engineers to do it. 4. It is very easy to please the founders. Ensure that you spend 14 hours at a minimum at office. Even if it means that you stare at the monitor for 14 hours doing nothing or just formatting code.
