Pros

It helps if you are part of the clique but bottom line communication and feedback is horrible. The owners are nice but dont know whats is going on in the workplace. There are several nice people outside of the development team.

Cons

The development environment is messed up. No structure and changes based on whims. Don't expect to have any requirements and Don't expect to know what is expected or what the plans are. Several people are full of themselves and dont like to be disagreed with. It was not uncommon to talk badly of any former employee, even ones that were deceased. They will even bring up political issues and dog our elected leaders to a ridiculous level. Also, lots of passive aggressive reaction going on; everyone is afraid to speak up; very dysfunctional; feels like High school. They talk a good game and promote themselves well but in the end its all just fluff. If only their business partners and customers knew the truth. The testers and developers share servers so its a constant conflict and TFS administration is bad. The development manager will break things constantly but because hes the boss everyone just keep their mouths shut. This makes it impossible to keep deadlines and deliverables. They are not ready for big time development. They will promise good things and say things that sound promising but in the end, its all talk.

Dear Former Employee, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review of your experiences with our company. Although we aren't perfect as a company, we do strive daily to achieve great things and we actively work to build a culture that we're proud of. We'd like to address a few of your statements which we feel are inaccurate since this is a public review. ----- 1. Communication - Although communication is always a struggle with any company, we have grown as an organization and we are excited at the prospects of how our communication has developed. This includes quarterly conference calls, department meetings, and one-on-one communication. ----- 2. Structure - The development department has made great strides as we continue to grow. We are a self-start type of environment with adequate oversight as needed. We have found that this type of environment works well for most of our employees and we've developed a multitude of great software that helps some of the health providers who are in the most need in this country. ----- 3. Talking bad about former employees - This is an issue that we take incredibly seriously. Specifically the comment about deceased employees. That particular employee was a very well-respected and valuable employee. His loss still affects us as a company today. We keep in touch with his family to this day. No one should be talking ill of this man or any other former employee. We'll make sure to readdress this in team meetings. ----- 4. As far as talking a good game - We deliver on this. Our customers are extremely happy with the products that we manufacture and even more complimentary about the service that we provide. Unfortunately, not every personality-type is a great fit with Visualutions, and that's ok. ----- Again, thank you for your feedback and we'll make sure to reexamine many of your perceived issues that you've written about. As always, if you'd like to address any of these issues with us, you can always reach us at info@visualutions.com or call us at 281-297-2257 ----- Thank you.

Pros

High level of interpersonal connection among staff, comfortable work environment, decent amount of vacation time, and fairly cheap health insurance. They go above and beyond helping their staff while going through big events in one's personal life (school, death, family illness).

Cons

This is a Christian company so be aware that aspects of that will be around frequently . If you end up in Revenue cycle management- there is no chance for overtime, no bonuses, and really not much opportunity for growth on an individual level. Vacation time is also your sick leave.
