      A very controlling company

      Pros

      Good opportunities to use new technologies for new staff. Free fruit and occasionally breakfast provided. A day off on your birthday.

      Cons

      Internal conflicts arise when the client doesn't see all the features delivered on time. The company can't get seem to get the balance right between Agile and client delivery and the resulting frustration is often vented on the development teams. Authoritarian leadership and control. Stressful and toxic work culture. Micromanagement and lack of creative freedom. Technologies used for development are out of date, potentially adversely affecting future career prospects. The internal support and communication need to be improved for remote teams.

      Pros

      The company has undergone huge change and this has created lots of opportunities for progression and expansion of your role. There has been a good effort from management to improve the culture and working practices, which are taking shape. Very skilled development team. Employee needs and concerns are taken seriously. There are good, democratic processes for raising ideas to management which actually get listened to and implemented! The product is interesting to work with. There are flexible working hours.

      Cons

      There were some teething pains from growing so quickly and the effects of some of these are still evident, however management is not blind to these and they are being dealt with. The implementation of Agile is not yet mature, which has caused overwhelming pressure to deliver on occasion.
