People were nice back then, I joined detikcom all the way back from its early inception, even before they got acquired by Trans Media. Everything was so much easier to navigate, decision making was fast, they were the pioneer of digital media evolution in Indonesia. They were the first local online media to respond to performance based advertising in Indonesia and was among the first to turn their inventories to programmatic friendly environment.
Cons
Once they got acquired by Trans Corp, everything turned into corporate mode, it wasn't a your typical everyday mirroring workflow, since they wish for a digital news media outlet to work very much like a free to air one. They've been putting on some clearly irrational revenue target, which always impossible to reach by the market standard, most of the time, that's among the demotivate factors. Additionally, other factors like conflict of interest from other stakeholders from the organization, made the organization difficult to manage from a strategic standpoints.
