Meet Christina Fan, Senior Packaging Innovation Manager for our Heated Products. Christina likes to say that “packaging chose me.” Early in her career, she joined a company specialising in packaging and quickly realised how much she enjoyed the field. Since joining BAT in 2019, she has grown from being the first packaging team member at the Shenzhen Innovation Centre to leading global packaging development for our Heated Products. When she describes what goes into creating packaging, Christina highlights the need to navigate a diverse set of factors. As she puts it: “A liquid pod needs barrier protection and shelf appeal. A device box must whisper luxury while shouting recyclability.” Her best advice to anyone starting out at BAT? "Be curious, stay open-minded, and embrace the diversity around you.
