Tim has been an integral part of the GF leadership team since 2018. His deep operational expertise and unwavering focus on execution have helped drive our momentum—and now, as CEO, he is well positioned to lead GF into its next phase of growth. With decades of semiconductor industry experience and a sharp focus on customer success, Niels brings the vision and leadership needed to accelerate our next chapter. As President and COO, he will drive our commercial, business, and manufacturing strategy—ensuring we deliver differentiated, essential chips to customers around the world. We again extend our deepest thanks to Dr. Tom Caulfield, who now serves as Executive Chairman. Under his leadership, GF sharpened its strategy, executed a successful IPO, and laid the foundation for the trusted, essential foundry we are today. With Tim and Niels at the helm, we are confident in GF’s future—and energized by the opportunities ahead.
Today we extend our deepest gratitude to Tom Caulfield for his outstanding leadership as CEO of GF since 2018. Over the past seven years, he has guided our company through transformative growth, repositioned our technology portfolio to focus on differentiated, essential chips and steered the company to sustainable profitability. In 2021, he spearheaded GF’s IPO, which was not only the largest semiconductor IPO in history at that time, but also the largest IPO across all of Nasdaq that year. Amid a global chip shortage, he focused on building resilient supply chains, investing in new manufacturing capacity and forging partnerships with key customers and governments. As he transitions into the role of Executive Chairman of the Board, we thank Tom for his continued commitment to our mission, our people and our future.
