Last weekend, the exhibition “KarriereStart” took place at MESSE DRESDEN GmbH, Germany. The event is considered THE trade fair for education, jobs, and start-ups in Saxony and beyond, and it reached a new record with over 40,000 visitors. Our team from GF Dresden was also on-site and witnessed great interest in GF, a lot of enthusiasm for different technologies, and career paths in the semiconductor industry. We were particularly pleased to welcome Saxony's Minister of Education, Conrad Clemens, at our booth. A special highlight at our booth was once again our virtual reality application, which gave interested visitors an insight into the work in our cleanrooms. Did you know? GF currently employs around 140 apprentices in Dresden across various professions. We also have a whole range of exciting apprenticeships on offer this year. Applications are welcome at any time: https://loom.ly/v4v53FE
This month, over 50 GF volunteers hosted 38 FIRST® LEGO® League teams for the Vermont State Championship. More than 270 elementary school students and their coaches brought their LEGO robots and Innovation Projects to GF's Essex Junction location for a day filled with exciting competition and fun. As the state program sponsor of FIRST® LEGO® League, GF proudly hosted the Vermont State Championship for the first time.
