What is the hiring process like at Revolut?

No serious sales person should EVER work here - if I could get minus I would.

      Pros

Remote Work from abroad 3 months of the year

      Cons

Work here if you are happy to see your colleagues fired after 1 bad quarter despite being top sellers for the last six quarters. There is zero loyalty. Do NOT take this job if you have a serious career with prospects currently. Work here if you want to work for a company where work life balance is non existent and due to their shambolic internal procedures you'll be working 12-15 hours a day to barely scrape by. Work here if you want to work with a company who retains staff members who are incompetent at their job but as long as they have sexual/personal relations with management - they will keep their job. Work here if you want to work for a company who have the most laughable CRM in existence. 40% of your day will be spent checking if a lead or company exists, for it to tell you it doesn't because someone spelt a simple term the wrong way. Your colleagues who will be here for less than six months before they leave or are fired will send the most hopeless emails to ICP. Because Revolut hire people who are incompetent you will have to sift through accounts hoping and praying you get one which hasn't been sent 50 generic copy and paste emails in 3 months. Compliance will try and gaslight you that you said things that you never did and you will have to appeal all of your compliance fails and waste over 10 hours a week. Onboarding is a joke - you're supposed to be onboarding companies who generate high profit potential but will have to hold their hand through every process rather than them just send their details through and have it auto verified. It's a micky mouse money instutition positioning itself as "industry gold standard" The reason they are constantly hiring is because the place either drives you insane within six months or you get booted because you "didn't match the expectations" despite being told the reverse of that in the hiring process. In my time here I saw 75% of my training group leave or get fired within six months and so will you if you accept their offer. They have no proper sales process, you will be waiting WEEKS for staff to hand over accounts if you have found one you know personally. The system just exists to set you up to fail. Revolut work on a system of "we'll burn 90% of the staff and hope we can retain 10%" Hyper growth is what they will tell you. The reality is its a meat grinder exempt of any human element and people are not working 10 hours a day because they love their jobs. They're doing it out of fear. AVOID.

      Pros

Not a huge amount of pros except I made some nice friends along the way.

      Cons

They promise you an insane amount of commission in the interview process when in reality only a tiny amount of AEs who have been there for years earn real money. Aggressive sales culture with little support from management when things go wrong. The employee turnover rate is so high it's depressing

      Worst Company Culture

      Technical product owner
      Former employee
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Good Salary is the only pro

      Cons

      1. Worst company culture 2. Worst method of performance evaluation: even if you are performing well adm achieving all of your KPIs, it wont matter since the calibration method is handled by top management (who might not even know you since you do not work with them directly) The calibration process is a total blackbox where even your manager cannot intervene or make any amendments basis your performance. 3. Very little to no regards for employee health 4. Absolutely no regards to your past performance, even if you were a top performer in all your previous cycles but your project is not important in this cycle, you would be rated in the bottom and at time might be asked to go on PIP as well PS: they have a policy to rate a minimum to 10% of the employees in a team mandatorily per cycle, so someone or the other will have to become a scapegoat

      Do not join India team

      Strategy and operations manager
      Current employee
      Bengaluru
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Decent salary, wfh policy and international workmates

      Cons

Work culture is heavily dependent on the team. Certain central teams have good culture that promote growth India team culture is awful. The product being launched is mediocre at best. Certain people do bare minimum work with fat pay checks and all they do is actively engage in politics to keep their job. India team is the perfect exaggerated representation of big corporates with zero tech company ethos. In my time here, I have seen examples of every kind of -ism at workplace that it is hilarious at this point how such highly educated people engage in these kinds of casual discrimination. Even though there are experienced folks most of them lack leadership skills. Throwing people under the bus, harassing folks to the point of bullying is a common place. Filled with pencil pushing middle managers and folks who want to save themselves at all costs Do not make the mistake of joining where neither the work nor the culture is good. The attrition rate of India team is so high that the execs have to be blind to not know the culture problem. The team doesn’t set you up to succeed in a role and literally lies through the teeth in the interview process about the work expectations

      Strategy and operations manager
      Current employee

      Recommend

      Business outlook

      Pros

      - Fully-remote role - Allows you to take ownership from the start

      Cons

I joined Revolut as a Strategy and Operations Manager largely drawn by the promise of a fully remote work environment and the dynamic company culture they emphasized during the interview process. Unfortunately, my experience has been far from what was promised. From the start, the expectations were set unrealistically high. The KPIs assigned during the probation period were nearly impossible to achieve, making it feel like the company is operating a revolving door policy. This sentiment is not unique to me; it’s echoed by several other reviewers, which raises serious concerns about the company’s management practices. While the work itself is okay, it lacks the challenge and engagement I experienced in my previous roles. The initial excitement quickly faded as it became clear that the culture promoted during the hiring process did not align with the reality within the company. Ultimately, I made the decision to leave Revolut. I cannot recommend this company to anyone looking for a fulfilling and stable career, particularly if you value a strong, supportive work culture and realistic performance expectations.
