The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at AT&T (Wilmington, NC) in Apr 2012
Interview
Everyone I spoke to was very friendly and helped me along the way with the whole process, that being said compared to other jobs I've had this one by far was the longest and drawn out. It consisted of first a personality test online than phone interview to make sure i was eligible, after speaking with her twice I was scheduled for a in person interview with the area hiring manger. He let me know what to expect if i did get the job and after finishing with him he asked if I didn't mind talking to the stores manger later that day I agreed. The stores manager let me know he wanted me and that I would should expect an offer soon. About a week after the in person interview I was contacted via phone and give a verbal offer to which I accepted.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
asked what I knew about what the company did aside from wireless.
It is a basic customer service and teamwork questions. Asks you to teach them how to do something you're passionate about. Nothing crazy or unexpected. Laid back but professional, answered all my questions as well.
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at AT&T in Jan 2025
Interview
Interview itself is pretty easy. The two times I've interviewed with them as varied based on the manager, but they're pretty forthright with everything they're telling you and the expectations of the job.
After the initial interview, the store will likely assess your product knowledge. They may ask you about various cell phone models, features, or accessories, and how you would explain them to customers. This is to evaluate your ability to understand and communicate technical information.
