Interview
Big group interview, where there are about 15 interviewees and 4 or so interviewers. They ask you to introduce yourself, tell a memorable experience with the company and a fun fact about yourself. Then you are broken into groups where you pretend to answer phones with "real" customer problems, and you have to provide the solution. Then your group is given a "survival" scenario, and you have to present that to the other group. Which is funny because both of our groups had the same solution to the same scenario.... Anyway then you're supposed to be taken for an individual interview and sat down to chat with someone, but the guy I talked to didn't take notes, he didn't ask me any questions that were on his clipboard, and we just walked around and seemed to chit chat. I didn't have a chance to tell them WHY I would be a good fit for the company- he never asked me specifically my background, or what I wanted from the position, or what I could offer the company. Just whether I could use a Mac. Come on. He seemed like he was in a huge rush to get our "talk" over so he could "talk" with the next interviewee, and in doing so was just more concerned with getting done than with actually recruiting talent. I feel like this process did not capture my individual talent and I wasn't able to communicate what I'd bring to the team by being evaluated as part of a big herd and not also as an individual. Flawed process.
Many many rounds, be prepared for around eight rounds of interviews.
From my memory:
First round is with HR,
Second - Forth rounds with team manager and future team mates,
Fifth - Sixth rounds with non-team mates,
Seventh - Eighth rounds - cultural fit interview
The interviewers don't really share notes with one another, so there may be some repetition in the questions.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Many scenario questions, where they would give you work situations and ask how you would behave.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Airbnb (Singapore) in Aug 2016

Applied online and got a followup email not too long after. Scheduled an initial phone call, which took around 40mins. Got an email for the next step the day I had the phone interview and few days later video interview was followed.
I applied online. The process took 8 months. I interviewed at Airbnb (Portland, OR) in Mar 2015
Interview
From initial application to hiring took 8 months. After submitting my application and resume, I was asked to record a series of videos to submit. Then there was a group interview or "hiring meetup". Finally there was a Skype interview.
