I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Airbnb in Dec 2024
Interview
Standard recruiting screen, tech screen, onsite. Recruiter was super slow and had to reach out multiple times to schedule my onsite. Ton of technical difficulties in tech screen interview, had to reschedule it twice. Overall felt very impersonal and like you were a number going through their system. They probably are quite busy but not a great candidate experience. 4 interviewers, 2 of them were quite rude or your stereotypical engineer personalities. Other two seem genuinely interested in the interview and were helpful/asked good questions. I did not end up getting an offer but if I did I would have not taken it.

Question 1
React component and some vanilla JS questions. Overall not difficult but if you haven’t done vanilla Js in a while be sure to study it
Pretty standard engineering interview. Recruiter call, technical interview, system design. They also had a code review interview that I had never seen before. I thought it was a little trickier than average, but not horrible. Sucks that if you don't move to the next round you can't reapply for a year.
