      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at American Express (New York, NY) in Sept 2018

      Interview

The HR process is managed by an outsourced firm- Allegis Global Solutions except for the actual interviews. So the Allegris recruiter emailed me multiple times to schedule/change interviews. First was a phone interview with a senior manager on the team followed by a 4 hour onsite with two VPs at the WTC headquarters. The interviews went well and the hiring manager had very positive things to say at the end. Post interview I heard nothing for over two weeks so I reached out - this is where the merry-go -round began. AMEX is now ghosting interviewees? Disgraceful I reached out to the recruiter who couldn't get me a stragith answer for a month and then I sent an email to the interviewers directly. I have not received a response 3 months after the interview. If AMEX expects interviewees to be professional and show up and respond to their emails, they need to extend the same courtesy to the candidates. GHOSTING by a global company is downright unacceptable in any circumstances. I have worked at many global companies and currently work at a leading investment bank - no professional organization behaves this way. Shame on AMEX. I will never recommend them to anyone as it shows they have no respect for candidates or their time.
