I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Bain & Company in Apr 2008
Interview
Case interviews and behavioral interview. The case interview format is interesting, but at the same time it is very subjective. You have only a few minutes to think about a topic and structure your response. If you are able to hit on the right points you are successful. I felt that this doesn't truly test your background. It just takes lot of practice and this system favors students from B-schools and group environments where students can get to prepare between themselves. If you are applying by yourself then you are on your own island.
Stattdessen Reaktionsfragen à la „Wie würdest du in Situation XYZ reagieren?". Mit solider Vorbereitung nichts Unerwartetes. Alle Interviewer sehr freundlich und aufgeschlossen — angenehme, entspannte Atmosphäre throughout.
2 rounds of 3 interviews.
The first round includes a fit interview.
All interviews feel very relaxed, but they still expect you to move through the case fast and in a structured way.
