This was a standard, initial phone screen. The interview was for a Full Time SharePoint Architect position. The recruiter discussed Centric's great benefits, etc. I was told that I would move on to the second round of interviews. I received an email from the recruiter that the position was no longer an FTE position with good benefits but was now an hourly contract position with no benefits or paid time off. A management person replied to the email and stated that there were some benefits, but they are the bare minimum and no more. I was told this was a mistake, but it feels more like a bait and switch. As someone who has spent time on the hiring side of the interview process, I have no idea how a position could be posted that does not exist. I have declined to interview further.
