The scheduling process was relatively smooth. The interview itself was also relatively fine. Without going into too many details, the interviewers all looked completely dejected and sapped any excitement I had around this opportunity. It’s also been more than a month and I have not heard back around next steps. Im okay with not receiving a job offer, as it is unrealistic to expect to receive an offer for every opportunity - but to be ghosted after putting in time and effort for the interview is unacceptable, especially in this job market. I followed up for an update and have not heard back. Fortunately, I’m not in a position where I need a new job right now but for prospective job searchers, heed this warning. I’ll be going with a competitors offer, which at this point is a no-brainer decision. Pretty in line with what I expect from Citigroup, to be honest.
