I underwent 3 phases of interviews: (1) Background check, (2) Initial Interview with HR, and (3) Final Interview with Hiring Manager. I went through all interviews in just a day through the phone.
As a fresh graduate with no BPO experience, I mostly relied on my communication skills to survive the whole process. The interview with the HR revolved mostly around questions involving integrity. In my case, he asked me to elaborate further on the circumstances where I showed integrity as an individual.
The final interview was the most challenging of them all — at least, for me. The hiring manager tested me through a mock call. Afterwards, she was testing my patience and capabilities as a customer service representative, especially since I have no experience.
The hiring manager had an intimidating tone, which was aimed to test your grit as a phone banker. She interrupted my answers a lot, and the challenge was how well I can focus on her questions while maintaining a calm, professional demeanor.
Interestingly, after around 85 minutes of interview, the hiring manager complimented me for surviving her questions. She was really generous with her feedback and gave me the job offer afterwards. It was a sigh of relief for me, knowing that it was all a test after all.
