The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Compass Lexecon (Oakland, CA) in Mar 2011
Interview
Applied thru on campus recruiting, received phone interview 2 weeks later which was fairly straightforward (they asked me basic economics questions about supply/demand and complements/supplements). The second round interview took a total of 4 hours at the office; I spoke to two analysts, one senior economist, and one VP.

Interview

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Compass Lexecon (London, England) in Feb 2020
Interview
Extremely professional. First round started with two tests - one verbal, one quant. Quant level was easy-medium however time constraint was a problem. Some (3-4) questions were logic based as well.
Verbal reasoning was similar to GRE.
Second round- case interview. Used a case study based on theory of the firm in Microeconomics, make sure this is perfect conceptually as they really look for your fundamental understanding. They give you some time to read the case , then discuss , ask you to write a report on a computer.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me something about yourself, why the industry, why the role, basics about competition, why do you think you would make a good economic consultant
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Compass Lexecon (London, England) in Nov 2019
Interview
You complete two tests, one verbal and one numerical. Their level of difficulty was very high. Then, an economist comes and will interview you by asking you some questions. It was a relatively short interview, and I would say it is motivational not technical.
